Emilia and I spent the morning at Evans Orchard. It was a gorgeous day to enjoy the pumpkin farm/apple orchard. I have learned that weekdays may not be the best day to visit solo, because so many school groups are visiting too. This was our second visit to a pumpkin patch this season and it has it been abundant with school children. Emilia did make a few friends on the playground so, she was all smiles. She ran around and played her heart out. She quenched her thirst with some yummy apple cider, and Mom left with her favorite – apple cider donuts! Fall fun indeed.

Pumpkin Painting
Emilia really likes to paint. Mommy’s little Picasso. Well, maybe not quite.
She received an art easel and art supplies for her birthday, so we put the paint and brushes to use. She painted a few of the pumpkins that Papaw Doug grew in his garden. Uncle Ryan grew the baby pumpkins, too. “I paint, punkins.” She was so proud. It was fun to watch her creativity.
She finished the pumpkins with Sesame Street stickers, but I didn’t get a photo. We are going to see the whole gang live, tomorrow! Here are a couple of pictures taken during the wonderful weather we had this week. I wish warm days and cool nights would last forever. I love October.

Emilia is 2!
Our little lady turned TWO last week. What shall a girl wear on her special day? A tutu, of course!
She has grown so much since her last birthday. We celebrated again this year with lots of family, friends, food, and cake. The kids enjoyed playing outside, making fingerprint crabs, eating marshmallow pops, and shark jello. Everyone went home with handmade fish soap and bubbles.
We are so thankful for the people who shared the occasion with us. We are also thankful for another year with our precious girl. Emilia loved her birthday party so much, I think she will continue to celebrate throughout the month. She now thinks any cake she sees is her birthday cake!
