Horses and Swimming = 1 Happy Girl

Earlier this week, Emilia and I joined my Mom’s Group at Old Friends. It’s a facility for retired thoroughbred horses. We had never been there. I don’t know why, because it’s a very cool place to visit. We didn’t spend much time there, so I’m definitely looking forward to going back and taking my family with me. It was interesting to hear about each horse’s story. Emilia loved all the horses, but the pony had to be her favorite. There are many reasons why I love living in the Heart of the Bluegrass.



We’ve been taking Emilia to a baby swim class at our local family YMCA. She is loving it. We’ve been singing songs and floating the babes in our arms through the water. Her favorite activities have been jumping into my arms from the edge of the pool, and riding in the floating boat. I think she will enjoy the outdoor pool even more this Summer. Which as a marker typically begins this weekend!
